About Westates
Westates Mechanical, Inc. was founded in 2003 and is a full service commercial mechanical contractor, with core services offerings that include HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Plumbing and Fire Suppression services throughout the San Francisco/Bay Area. The Company's primary focus is in the private sector, but includes Federal, State or Public Work projects. It currently holds a valid Class B California General Contractors License and trade specific licenses to perform work under classifications - C-16 (Fire Sprinklers), C-20 (HVAC) and C-36 (Plumbing). A majority of WSM's work performed is new construction, remodel and/or retrofit and tenant improvement projects. The Company is a union contractor and members of the MCA (Mechanical Contractors Association), SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association) and NFSA (National Fire Sprinkler Association). The management team is involved in NFSA National Fire Sprinkler Association and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). All of these provide valuable Education, Certification, Industry News and Publications to stay on top of current events, issues and training required for those certain trades.
Westates takes pride in offering a complete package of mechanical services. The addition of the Fire Protection Division allows us to provide a full line of mechanical services and gives us the ability to coordinate three trades at all stages of development from consulting, budgeting, design, installation, and management-operations-maintenance.
Westates CAD design is manned by experienced professionals, skilled at working with City Agencies, Architects, General Contractors and other trades. Westates is committed to the coordination of all trades prior to installation. These efforts can lead to fewer design changes and aid installation by all trades. Costs can be held in check and schedules can be maintained.
Westates has established a FTP site as an information-sharing resource for smooth and efficient project development. With our FTP site, any individual or organization involved in a project has the ability to post drawings and other information pertaining to that project. Facilitating the easy and immediate exchange of information.
Defense of Natural Resources
Many of the products of construction and the maintenance and use of new buildings has a negative impact on our environment. Restoring the environment by natural is no longer possible in many instances. A rapidly growing field for mechanical engineers and others is environmental control, comprising the development of machines and processes that will produce fewer pollutants and of new equipment and techniques that can reduce or remove the pollution already generated.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
- PRE-CONSTRUCTION: budgeting and estimating, design assistance, MEPS coordination, 3D coordination drawings of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- FABRICATION: sheet metal ductwork and flashing, pipe assemblies with pipe sizes up to 30" diameter, mechanical skids.
- INSTALLATION: all types of HVAC systems and equipment, plumbing systems and equipment, fire-protection systems.
- COMMISSIONING: equipment start-up, duct and equipment air leakage testing, pipe pressure testing, air and water balancing and fire pump, hydrant and pressure reducing valve flow testing.
- NFPA 25 CA INSPECTIONS: California State Fire Marshal mandated testing, inspection, maintenance, servicing and repair of all of fire protection systems and equipment.
